A Blockmate and Her Organization Receives Award for Anti-Corruption Project

I am so pleased and proud to see another blockmate / batchmate working to make a difference for better governance in the Philippines.
Rappler reports that the Philippines won an award in London for an anti-corruption project called "Citizen Participatory Audit" and who do I see in the photo -- the familiar smiling face of a blockmate.
Through this award the summit in London recognized that despite grave corruption and the pork barrel scam in the country it is still a "bright spot in the global fight against corruption".
'"Everything was a breeze, but the overwhelming feeling was that I felt proud to be a Filipino,' Vivien Suerte-Cortez of the Affiliated Network for Social Accountability in East Asia and the Pacific (ANSA-EAP) told Rappler."
