Moonlit Backyard: No Excuses

          Maintaining a backyard takes a lot of work -- constant weeding, clearing fallen coconuts and coconut leaves, driving away stray animals, and a host of other time-consuming stuff .

          On the flip side, however, you get to have a convenient starting point for an enclosed landscape.  If you don't have time to got out and paint en plein air then you have a picture right at your doorstep.  No time to stretch canvas and paint on large surfaces?  Then a small tablet computer will do.  "No excuses," so I remind myself.

Lake in foreground is just from my imagination as I thought about what would the lake on top of a mountain here in Manito, Albay (locals call the lake "Danao") would look like.  (April 14, 2020 upload. Work done about the same time as the image above)

           There is no excuse to do what allows rest and joy to my soul.  No excuse.
