The Road Not Taken
However one interprets Robert Frost's "The Road Not Taken," this TED-Ed animated poem helps me assess life choices.
Sometimes I feel reassured. Sometimes I find peace. Sometimes I find a reason to continue living because every choice I make, no matter how hard or different, helps me know that I consciously lived and did not merely exist.
Every once in a while, at certain bends in life, we pause and ask, "did I make the right decision?" or "Was it worth it?"
In the end, what makes our lives different from any other person's, are the choices that we make and the risks that we choose to take or not to take -- or so we think....
"Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could...
I shall be telling this with a sigh...
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."
